After much consideration and reevaluating life, I have decided to pursue Alternate Teaching through the Regions 7 Teacher Certification Preparation Program. So this semester will be my last within the studios of the Fine Arts Complex of UT Tyler. I will enjoy making art one more time within the walls of the FAC, then it will be onward to graduation and teaching!

Student Artwork
11/23/2022
Hello Again!
This semester has kept me busy! I had the opportunity to Student Teach within Whitehouse ISD. The students were taking Art for the first time and had many many questions! Their excitement was inspiring and gave me the hope I needed for a wonderful experience. Their lack of self-confidence gave me the needed challenge to show them what I am capable of as a Teacher. We did several lessons, one over Piet Mondrian over Abstract and one highlighted on the Whitehouse ISD social media pages based on George Sauret's Sunday Afternoon's Pointilissim. Combining Pointilissm with Pixel Art was the right approach and seeing these students COME ALIVE with their love of Art was truly a treat! I will miss the students. They say you will never forget the first class you teach.
I have posted examples of their work in the "Community Involvement" gallery. Please go take a look!J.P

However, stay tuned for photos of my Student's artwork in the "Community Involvement" section of my Portfolio! As always STAY CREATIVE!

Community Involvement!
6/1/2022
Forest Home Baptist in Kilgore, Tx is about to launch its amazing Vacation Bible School this June. I have been commissioned again to aid in painting their windows for decorations for their set of "Ocean Underwater" because their theme is "Make a wave"!
Please check the "Community Involvement" section for photos!Sincerely,
J.PCommunity Involvement!
I have been asked to commission a photo stand-in for Forest Home Baptist's Mother's Day Out program. They will be having a "Farm Day" and asked if I could create a place for their students to have photos made. This would be a background designed to look like a farm where they can have photos made with classmates! It is an honor! Please check the Portfolio section of the site and look for "Community Involvement" for photos!
BFA Senior Exhibition Show Dates
1/13/2022
As promised,
The dates for the BFA Senior Exhibition show will be March 28th, 2022 through April 8th, 2022. I have the unique opportunity to present with three other artists in a group show. The location of our show will be in the graduate gallery called The Meadows at The University of Texas at Tyler in Tyler, Tx. This is a much larger space and gives the ability to show more pieces within the show. I highly recommend not missing this. The series I will be presenting is "Journey Through The Woods & Back Again". This will be paintings and prints with a "Grimm" fairy tale twist. I will follow up soon with the date of my Art Reception. This will be the night I give my talk over the series and you can meet me in person.Until then,
Jessica ParsonsAnnouncement Regarding Commission Requests
At this time, I will not be taking commissions due to academic commitments.

I look forward to announcing the date, speaking on the aesthetic philosophy of my work as well as meeting with my supporters.
